The fields of activity of energy, environment and chemistry have in common the use of certain high temperature processes that are particularly demanding for the refractory materials installed in these installations.

The generation of energy from renewable sources, the incineration of industrial waste and the transformation of chemical compounds are constantly growing and evolving with environmental concerns.

BONY is pursuing a significant development policy in these areas and particularly in the incineration of industrial waste. Studies with its university partners from CNRS-CEMTHI and the Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne as well as an industrial user partner make it possible to improve the quality of the refractory lining, particularly in rotary kilns and post-combustion chambers.
