Innovation and performance
The different industrial sectors to which BONY refractory products are aimed are in constant technological evolution. The constraints experienced by refractory linings and therefore the performance required for these materials must be regularly questioned. In order to support its customers and meet their new needs, BONY is clearly part of an approach to innovation and continuous progress.
BONY has a research and development laboratory equipped with equipment to physically and mechanically characterize the refractory ceramics manufactured.
External laboratories recognized nationally and internationally for the seriousness and quality of their tests are called upon to complete the range of tests carried out.

In order to carry out quality research projects, BONY has partnered with recognized public laboratories.
A strong collaboration is thus engaged between:
The Saint-Etienne School of Mines (EMSE – Center for Materials and Structures Sciences SMS),
The CNRS Orléans (CEMHTI Laboratory – Extreme Conditions and Materials: High Temperatures and Irradiation),
and BONY
The association of industrial partners and users of refractories allows for great efficiency and mutually beneficial feedback on experiences.
Post-mortem analyzes of refractories supplied by these industrial partners are valuable in proposing new formulations that better match the technical reality of the installations.
BONY listens to its customers to respond precisely to their technical requests, for example to improve the lifespan of refractory linings, to contribute to reducing energy consumption or to improve the quality of finished products thanks to a refractory better adapted (fewer inclusions in cast metal parts, etc.).
